The book that has been getting me through all of this is "It Sucked, and Then I
Cried", by Heather Armstrong. She is very blunt in her observations, and it has been quite easy to relate to her. Check out http://www.Dooce.com, and if you like her style, this book will be right up your alley. It is NOT a how to book, but instead a

Hi, everyone.
I just hit the 19 week mark. I was feeling pretty good from about 13 weeks to 17 weeks. I've been on Zoloft 25 mg which has helped, but I've noticed
the depression and anxiety are really getting bad now.
One minute I feel fine and the next I just want to bawl and then the anxiety kicks in with my heart racing and feeling like I'm not able to breath.
I just went up to 50 mg this past Sunday, so it's probably too early for it to start helping....

I do not recommend this book for anyone suffering from OCD and/or ITs. This book, while not without its merit toward positive thinking, can be dangerous for
people who suffer from ITs. The book teaches that our thoughts are all powerful. Specifically, it states that a thought, regardless if positive or negative,
has the power to make things happen.

This is a great book for people overcoming intrusive "bad thoughts". It explains the phenomenon and lists all of the typical types of thoughts and offers solutions for therapy. I found it to be very reassuring in convincing the reader that they are not alone, not going crazy and shares many personal stories, some of which involve those thoughts involving children which so many mothers suffering from ppd/ppocd get.
